PARTAKERS OF GOD’S BLESSINGS

Isaiah 3:10 NKJV
“Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.”

The grace and blessings of the LORD on those He has set apart for Himself are often clearly evident. It goes without saying that God is gracious and delights in righteousness and truth. Revealed to him by the Holy Spirit, the Psalmist once said to the LORD, “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face” (Psa 89:14 NKJV). Of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Scripture also says, “You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions” (Heb 1:9 NKJV). Hallelujah!

In line with the righteousness God credited to Abraham, and God’s covenants with Isaac and Jacob, Israel generally lived blessed. As other nations would struggle with many difficult issues, God always remembered His covenant with the fathers (Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob) and treated the Israelites favourably. For instance, when thick darkness covered Egypt during Moses’ back-and-forth before Pharaoh, the Egyptians “… did not see one another; nor did anyone rise from his place for three days. BUT all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings” (Exo 10:23 NKJV). Hallelujah!

God’s favour, premised on His relationship particularly with Abraham (Gen 15:13-16), set Israel apart from the disorganization brought about by the darkness and other plagues. In like manner, because of the grace that came through Christ Jesus (Joh 1:17), God has made us, who believe in Christ, partakers of His blessings; for His grace and blessings often manifest hand in hand (Eph 1:2-3). Hallelujah! In our text of reference, the LORD has an important message: “Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.” Beloved, may it be unto you, according to God’s word!
