WHAT A PRIVILEGE TO PRAY!

Ephesians 3:20-21 NKJV
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

The privilege we have to pray to the Almighty God—in the Name of Jesus and by the help of the Holy Spirit—is such an immeasurable blessing. There is so much in this life that takes a divine intervention to handle. And without the hand of a true, ever-present, powerful, and everlasting God, it would be impossible to live just another day. Certainly, many in this world have what or whom they consider ‘divine’, based on their belief system. However, as David said, “…all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the LORD made the heavens. Honor and majesty are before Him; strength and gladness are in His place” (1 Chr 16:26-27 NKJV). Hallelujah!

Indeed, before the LORD is honour and majesty; strength and gladness are also in His place. These are virtues that testify to His greatness, which is far above all the gods of the peoples put together. On the other hand, these (and other virtues that the LORD possesses) are for our good; most especially, in Christ Jesus. In his words of praise to God, Paul said, “Now to Him [God] who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.” Hallelujah!

Notice, our text of reference says, God is able to do “exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.” That implies, it’s our responsibility to keep on asking in prayer and thinking in meditation upon God’s word. Blessedly, those are two powerful ways to keep our hearts and minds stayed on God. Thankfully, Jesus Himself said, “Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives, and he who keeps on seeking finds, and to him who keeps on knocking, it will be opened” (Mat 7:7-8 AMP)!
